Frequently asked questions
Common questions about using the ngo / non-profit website template.
Is this template free to use?
Yes. Every template on Instant CSS is free for personal and commercial projects with no attribution required. Just copy or download the code and ship.
Is the template responsive on mobile and tablet?
Yes. All Instant CSS templates are built mobile-first with proper breakpoints, so they look great on phones, tablets, and desktops without extra work.
Can I edit the colors, fonts, and content?
Absolutely. Click "Edit in Code Editor" to open the template inside our online editor where you can tweak HTML, CSS, and JavaScript live. Or download the .html file and edit in any code editor.
Does it work with React, Vue, or other frameworks?
Yes. The template is plain HTML and CSS — drop the markup into a React, Vue, Svelte, or Astro component and reference the styles or convert them to Tailwind utilities.
Do I need any build tools or dependencies?
No. Templates use vanilla CSS — no Sass, no preprocessors, no JavaScript libraries. Just open the .html file in a browser and it works.
Who is this template designed for?
Non-profits, NGOs, charities, foundations, community groups, and social-impact organizations who need a complete one-page website to share their mission, show impact, and convert visitors into donors and volunteers.
How do I wire up the donation buttons?
The Donate buttons are styled <a> tags with `href="#donate"` placeholders. Replace the href with your donation provider URL (Donorbox, GiveButter, Stripe Checkout, PayPal, Razorpay, etc.) or wire them to your custom checkout form.
How do I replace the demo photographs with my own?
The demo uses free Pixabay images via direct URLs. Search for each `<img>` tag and `background-image` rule and replace the URL with your own image. Recommended sizes: hero 2400×1500, programs cards 800×600, story portraits 600×800.
Are the demo photographs free to use?
Yes. Every demo photograph is served from Pixabay, licensed under the Pixabay Content License — free for commercial and non-commercial use, no attribution required. Always swap them for your own people, projects, and beneficiaries before launching.
Can I add a real donation form or payment integration?
Yes. Embed a Donorbox or GiveButter widget where the donation tiers card sits, or replace the section with a Stripe Payment Element. The CSS structure stays the same — just swap the inner content.
Does the newsletter signup work out of the box?
The signup form is styled but not wired. Replace the form's action attribute with your provider URL (Mailchimp, Buttondown, ConvertKit, Beehiiv, Mailerlite) and method="post" to start collecting subscribers.
